    “Quarz-2 × 8C-3” is a narrow-film amateur film-making machine for the 2 × 8 Super film, produced by the Krasnogorsk Mechanical Plant from 1971 to 1983.
The Quarz-2 × 8C-3 movie camera was developed on the basis of the Quarz-4 and Quarz-5 (2 × 8 film), 211,374 copies were released.
“Quarz-2 × 8C-3” is the last amateur movie camera of the USSR designed for 2 × 8 Super film (the production of movie cameras for 2 × 8 film was discontinued in the 1970s). Soviet film enthusiasts had to use movie cameras designed for Super-8 film in cassettes: Quarz-1 × 8C-2 (KMZ) and Aurora-215, Aurora-217, Aurora-219 (LOMO). In small quantities, the expensive Quarz-8XL (KMZ) and LOMO-200, LOMO-220, Aurora-224, and Aurora-226 were produced.
