Antique Georgian silver clear paste drop earrings

Description

Today I am selling a rare pair of Georgian paste earrings. The oval drop is covered in clear paste stones that mimic diamonds and are collette or crimp set into low grade silver. The connector above it is also set with four clear pastes, and connects to french wires with ball ends that are mismatched replacements. There are no hallmarks, but the silver acid tested as low grade, probably 750 or 800.
CONDITION: Very good for their age. All of the paste stones are intact, but several have darkened or yellowed with age. General tarnish and discoloration to the silver. As stated in the description above, the french wires are replacements and mismatched, with one silver and in good shape, and the other base metal and slightly crooked.
CIRCA: Mid Georgian era (1780s)
MEASUREMENTS: full length is 1 3/8 inches and the oval drop is 5/8 of an inch including loop
