    Description

    For your consideration, a charming antique miniature portrait ring of a young woman, likely circa late 18th century English. The ring is in overall good condition with some scratching to the glass panel over the portrait and some mild yellowing discoloration to the portrait around the chest and eyes. The shank is slightly off the round and was possibly repaired at a later date. No hallmarks are present. The shank of the ring acid tests around 9K gold and is likely solid gold as it’s fairly thin but the bezel around the portrait looks to be a gold shell over silver (see pictures 7 and 8).
    Ring is sized between US 9.25 and 9.5 and weighs 6.4 grams.
