Description
Antique American 18 size porcelain glass enameled pocket watch dial with a hand painted enamel floral scene done at firing. The flowers are not a decal and not painted on afterwards, they were actually fired with the porcelain base making them permanent. This is a bit of an oddball dial as I could not find the maker when doing any searches. It is definitely an American maker but could be Lancaster, Philadelphia, Peoria or other smaller American watch company. This one is signed America Philadelphia USA. Please compare your existing application to the dial foot configuration as I do not know what movements will work on this specific dial. Dial feet placement is: 16.5 minute, 36.5 minute and 54 minute marks. This dial is a nice, clean dial but it does have lines going through it when you hold it at certain angles. At first, I thought they were hairlines but they are not. They are consistant with the lines on the backside where the enameling shrunk during the firing. This may be a 1 of a kind dial I don't really know.
