This silver collector coin set containing three coins: Balthasar, Caspar & Melchior, constituting legal tender of 500 Lire each, issued by the Order of Malta.
A highly symbolic celebration, drawing inspiration from the original gifts given to the baby Jesus.
The Order (or Knights) of Malta is a noble and chivalrous Roman Catholic religious order. Traditionally military in style, it is still known as the world's surviving fellowships of chivalry. The obverse features each holy king honourably holding and presenting their precious gift.
The reverse features the Knights of Malta seal in the centre with initials, “O.S.J.” inscribed beneath it. The rim is marked, “SOVRANO OSPEDALIERO ORDINE DI MALTA.” The value of 500 Lira is arched along the bottom.
Containing three stunning silver coins portraying the Eastern Kings - Balthasar, Caspar and Melchior.
