Researchundertaken by the VMCC (in UK) has concluded that 250 to 300 of the completedbikes from the Meriden Plant in 1974 were 650 Bonnevilles.
This motorcycle was restored with the assistance of the late Gerald“Dude” Wheeler of Gate City Cycle.
Gate City Cycle was a Triumph dealership in Nashua, NHfounded in 1959. The Dealership stopped in the 1980’s when Triumph went out ofbusiness. Gate City dedicated itself as a Vintage British Service/Parts andRestoration Shop subsequently. Dude and his shop have been noted in books +magazines, recognized with awards, and had his restoration examples featured atthe Motorcyclepedia Museum
in
Newburgh, New York at the museums request.
After Dudes passing in 2019, Gate City Cycle was closed andassets were auctioned.
