    Description

Offered for your consideration is this clean original and unrestored 1968 Triumph T120R Bonneville. This fine example of the iconic '68 Bonnie is being sold with a clear CA title. Frame and Engine Numbers match. Mileage show 20400 miles which seems correct. What I can verify is that it is a fantastic bike. 1968 Is said by many to be the one of best of the Bonnevilles. Original Paint and plating on the Tanks and all Cycle parts. No touch ups. Very nice patina. Nut and bolt as standard, all original hardware. Chrome and Stainless all looks excellent aside from a small area on the handlebar. Original Dunlop Rims are excellent with original Spokes laced to hubs which still retail very nice paint. Fitted with Dunlop K70 Tires which are a couple of years old and are still perfect. All Lucas electrics which all function as they should, Ammeter shows a charge whilst running. Speedometer and Tachometer both work still. The original seat offers a very nice profile and provides good comfort, just one small tear in the cover and a split in the trim. All chrome on the bike shines brightly, exhaust and mufflers provide a splendid exhaust note. Original Amal Mk1 Concentric Carbs (chokes removed) with Points and Coil Ignition. Lucas electrics all function correctly, alternator appears to be charging. Starts 1st kick, runs like a champ as you can see in the video. Whilst performing a recommission i noticed that the top end appears to have been overhauled. .040 Pistons can be seen down the plug holes as well as new valve guides and possibly valves when viewed down the inlet tracts. The video shows the bike running and sounding really great. Excellent handling with a strong twin leading shoe front brake. Improved Fork Damping came on the '68 models. Original Girling Shocks perform very well. The flaws are a pair of dents on the front forward left side of the fuel tank, one is more of a ding the the other larger, these can clearly be seen in the later photographs posted below. The left fork ear also has a small dent. It is my opinion that these could be removed by a good PDR guy. The original tank paint has faded on the upper side as is normal for survivors. Tires will both need replacement due to age. Two small holes were drilled in the front guard for some sort of emblem? Some of the cad plating has faded off some hardware resulting in surface corrosion, to me it adds to the joy of owning an unrestored machine but the next guy of so desired can spruce things up. Overall the motorcycle presents itself very nicely, Please take the time to study the 63 photographs below as these show the bike very clearly as does the you tube video which includes a good walk around at the end. Please email with any questions that you have. Located in Los Angeles. Buyer is responsible for all shipping charges and arrangements. I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. Being sold as is with no warranties. A Paypal deposit maybe required straight after the auction ends. See this Bonnie run!
